A word about two of the most common repairs---roofing, and doors & windows.
Roof Leaks: Valley areas, chimneys and flashing areas are common problem areas on a roof. However, they don't have to be, if done correctly. They should be trouble free for the life of the shingle.
Doors & Windows: Doors and windows should last for many years. However, done incorrectly, (click here for examples) they quite often fail prematurely and cause extensive collateral damage. I install them to last the lifetime of the product and prevent the collateral damage.
